 SSC holds F2F leadership training

    The Supreme  Student Council of Capiz State University-Pontevedra Campus conducted face-to-face leadership training for the A.Y 2021-2022 with the theme PAGPANIKASOG: Igniting the Fire of a Leader in You Amidst all Circumstances at FADC hall last March 31-April 1.

    Through the coordination with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), headed by Dr. Aleta Rose Onglatco and Campus Administrator Dr. Honey Lee Casa the event was made possible ensuring that all of the participants were fully vaccinated.

    This two-day training started with the first talk initiated by Prof. Andy Bon Dariagan discussing the essential qualities needed to possess a leader and the bad traits a leader should avoid. To make an organization successful, he also pointed out the leadership styles that student leaders should apply as soon as they start to lead the group or an organization.

    Meanwhile, John   Patrick B. Eswan, former SSC President tackled strategic planning and its importance in making the proposed event effective and successful for the organization. He also mentioned how to make a     concept paper and its parts which will become a helpful tool as the basis for legal documents of the organization. On the following day, there was a  team building to test the SSC Officers’ coordination, teamwork, and strategic planning through the various stations prepared by the organizers.

    The event's fruitful second day ended with the awarding certificates to the winners of various contests such as presentation yells, team photos according to the theme, and the team who got the highest scores in the team building activities. Certificates and awards were also given to the best in corporate attire and the most disciplined team. In recognizing the effort of the speakers and facilitators of the said two-day event, a certificate signed by the CapSU President: Dr. Editha Alfon, was also given to Prof. John Patrick Eswan, Prof. Andy Bon Dariagan, Prof. Vincent F. Francisquite, Prof. John Ralph I. Fayo, Jan Hariette E. Estante, Liera Agustin, and Mike  Mendoza.
